Swimming Pool Project

We are extremely proud to be one of a very few state schools in the area with a swimming pool. The swimming pool at Watford Grammar School for Girls can be traced back to the 1950s when it was recorded as an outdoor pool. During the 1960s it was enclosed to create an indoor facility. The swimming pool has not changed significantly over the past 50 years.

We want to ensure that the aging pool remains open for both the pupils and the local community. The pool's impact is widespread and ensures all pupils have the opportunity to learn how to swim at school. Having swimming lessons as part of the school curriculum is vital and will save lives.

The Project

To ensure the pool remains functional and a fit for purpose facility for our school community, significant renovations are needed.
